New Deal symposium at the Library of Congress

On March 13 & 14, Hank Sapoznik and I will be participating in a symposium at the Library of Congress: ART, CULTURE & GOVERNMENT: THE NEW DEAL AT 75. We'll be talking about our forthcoming book, All I Got Is Gone: Roots Music Photographs from the Great Depression, and I'll give a talk about how the book came about, how I researched it, etc. There will be a number of other speakers, and some presentations on under-utilized collections at the Library. The following day, there will be a screening of rare government-produced period films at the National Archives& Records Administration Film Festival. For more information contact: Nancy Groce, American Folklife Center, Library of Congress; Phone: 202-707-1744; Email: ngro@loc.gov.
